When Nisha turned 25 her parents decided to marry her off. You know the ladki jawaan ho gayi hai thingee. A hunt for rishtas triggered in all possible people and places. Newspaper matrimonials to matrimonial websites to Sharma ji ka beta – all good guys alive were scanned to death.
But who said that marriage was an easy occupation? Tall, dark, handsome, well-settled, decent family – Rahul matched all criteria. He was a software engineer settled in the US with his parents in UP; just too good to be true. Nisha fell for him the moment their eyes met. Mom and dad were almost convinced when something caught their eye.
Rahul wrists. They were blotched red. His palms looked swollen and wrists injured.
